Leading Parent Partnership Success!

Leading Parent Partnership Award

We have held the Leading Parent Partnership Award since 2016. The partnership with parents is such an integral part of everything we do at school and we are constantly looking for ways to strengthen this relationship.

We are delighted to have successfully retained this award this year.  The LPPA Assessor met with school staff, parents, governors and some of our young people on 27th March this year and our report from that assessment day is extremely positive.  Some comments were

  • From the moment I entered the building, it was made evident to me that this is a school which is most definitely focused on fostering a calm and welcoming ambience which is conducive to learning
  • This is a school which really knows and understands its community
  • The pastoral care offered to students Is second to none because of the school’s continued commitment to ensuring that all students, irrespective of their background or individual needs feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.
  • This is most definitely a school which is leading the way in the field of parental and community participation and it deserves to feel justifiably proud of its achievements.
  • There is a real focus at ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ on the importance of providing students with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in their school
  • There was a real atmosphere of calm during my tour and I was able to witness students thoroughly engaged in their learning and enjoying their lessons
  • The parents I spoke to could not speak highly enough about all the school does to support them and their children.
  • The parents also commented on the helpfulness and kindness they always receive from the school’s receptionists, who always ‘go the extra mile to make us feel welcome at the school.’
  • The staff I had the pleasure of meeting confirmed that parental engagement is ‘the bread and butter of everything we do as a school’, going on to say that its open door policy ensures that, whilst the child’s voice is at its heart, the voices of parents and carers are too
  • I was extremely impressed with the way the young people spoke so confidently and assuredly about their school and, when asked for one word to describe ÐÓ°ÉappÏÂÔØ, they finished by saying ‘innovative’; â€˜positive’; â€˜diverse’ and ‘outstanding’.
  • It was made patently obvious to me during my time at this outstanding school that they most definitely are a force to be reckoned with in this area

We’d love to hear from you to tell us what you value about your partnership with the school and what else you’d like to see the school doing for you and your children.
